This painting is me. In really tough mental weeks, I fall back on painting and color to find the beauty in life. Sometimes we just have to hang on to wait for the beautiful things in life to reappear. I have to remind myself that it doesn’t always feel like this. I need to give myself the space to cry and grieve for how I thought things would be and recognize that in giving myself time, I am taking care of myself so I can care for others.
